We use art and craft to eliminate unemployment and poverty among youth with disabilities and their caregivers.

The problem we aim to solve:

The challenge of unemployment amongst the youth who have completed special needs schools (former LSEN Learners) as well as their caregivers/guardians residing in Durban Townships.

The solution our project offers:

My project beneficiaries were trained to produce handcrafted fashion accessories using up-cycled chip wrapper bags, plastic and beads. The products are marketed and sold in Durban.

The impact our project had so far:

The 10 beneficiaries have been earning regular income from sales of their handcrafted pieces since June 2016.
