I AM SELFMADE

We educate people about Ponzi schemes and help them be financially literate.

The problem we aim to solve:

Financial literacy is not taught in schools which leads to people struggling to manage their finances; reckless spending; being in debt and sometimes falling prey to Ponzi schemes.

The solution our project offers:

The aim is to educate people about the get - rich quick schemes that steal people's money and to teach people to be financially literate by providing them with products and services that will help them live a financial stress free life.

The impact our project had so far:

I have conducted financial seminars, sold over 40 books (in 3 months), written finance articles & been on radio shows.

About the project

Financial education guarantees you financial freedom for the rest of your life.

I realised that most people were struggling with managing their finance’s mainly because financial education is not taught at school and the subject of money management and investing is not discussed in our homes, especially black families. This leads to people being highly in debt and falling on the same routine that 90% of South Africans are in which is pay bills and die. Some fall victim to get-rich-quick schemes that promise them huge returns over a short period of time and run away with their money. Which is why i decided to start (I AM SELFMADE).

I AM SELFMADE seeks to:

  • educate people about these get rich quick schemes;
  • to teach people how to be financially literate (meaning how to manage money);
  • help people to be financially independent (meaning debt free and generating money) by providing them with products and services that will give them the necessary skills they need to live a financially free life.
