HDI For Good

We provide behavioural change programs for schools and communities across South Africa.

The problem we aim to solve:

We know that our country faces a multitude of social issues that mainly stem from poverty. Although we may not be able to provide infrastructural or monetary assistance to alleviate this, we can and more importantly, help change mindsets.

The solution our project offers:

HDI for Good’s goal is to reassert a sense of hope in the future and enable youth and their families with the tools in order to do that. We do this through face-to-face interaction and on–the-ground intervention.

The impact our project had so far:

We've been able to engage with over 500 youths so far on various programmes.

About the project

HDI for Good is an NPC passionate about uplifting youth and families a not-for-profit that provides development and behavioural change programs for schools and communities across South Africa.

HDI for Good’s goal is to reassert a sense of hope in the future and enable youth and their families with the tools in order to do that. Through face-to-face interaction and on–the-ground intervention we aim to create a sense of individual responsibility that will be reestablished and will give youth the commitment to follow through on their path to adulthood with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Our vision is to making meaningful, measurable and magical differences in the lives and fortunes of youth. Ensuring we align to the Global Goals and we develop programmes that focus on the following main spheres: • Ending extreme poverty • Fighting inequality and injustice • Fixing climate change

Informed by experience in the space of youth and education we would like to extend HDI’s offering into one where it naturally fits: development, community, sustainability and create real change which leads to uplift and advance in the lives of disadvantaged youth. In a country where over 51% of the population is 24 years old and younger, it is imperative that organizations rally towards creating a consequential impact on the future of a nation that is desperate for education and leadership.

“We can choose to be affected by the world or we can choose to affect the world.”
