Face This T-shirts

Creative T-shirt collaborations between (street)artists and Indonesian school kids.

The problem we aim to solve:

In isolated areas in Indonesia, education is marginalized. Therefore the kids in those areas are unable to develop basic skills like reading, writing, maths and drawing. By using drawing and art we want to change that, so they can develop these other skills as well.

The solution our project offers:

We give drawing classes at Indonesian schools. With those drawings we ask internationally renowned (street) artists to design a T-shirt. We use the proceeds to improve the schools of the kids. And so, art not only enables us to improve their artistic side, but also all other skills.

The impact our project had so far:

We have supported 3 schools in building extra classrooms, renovations, teacher programs and educational materials.

Togetherness starts with a tee

@ Face This foundation

The Face This foundation aims to improve education in small and marginalized areas in Indonesia. As we are positive folks at Face This, we didn’t want to focus on the negative sides of the poor areas. We wanted to focus on the things the kids were able to do, which is drawing.

So we ask kids to make an awesome drawing. Then we distribute those drawings to cool artists from around the world and we ask them to create a T-shirt using these drawings.

The proceeds of the tee go back to the school of the kids. So the kids and all their other fellow pupils can enjoy better education.

Artists involved who collaborated with us are:

  • Ricardo Cavolo (created Kaytranada’s album sleeve)
  • Cody Hudson (Red Bull, Volcom, Vans)
  • Kate Gibb (The Chemical Brothers, Stüssy)
  • and many more
